Kim Pragnell
Kim joined the Royal Navy aged 14 and a half and left 7 years later. he then worked in boatyards, sea going tugs, cable ships and sailed yachts. He studied Theatre design at Nottingham University and spent 10 years as a professional theatre designer. Kim then studied for P.G.C.E. Technology at Middlesex, then spending 20 years teaching at secondary and upper level, including adults.
In 2010 Kim finished his teaching career and became a professional painter of seascapes. Kim currently exhibits at : Beyond the sea, Perranporth Wildwood gallery, Dartmoor. Wychurchgallery, Oxford. Tincleton gallery, Dorchester. Exhibitions: Tincleton gallery, 'Land & Sea' Shaftesbury Arts centre 'Sea Waters and Boats' Sherborne Art Society. Black Swan Open, Frome 2018. St Barbes Open 2018, 2019, 2021. Public choice and Highly commended. Shaftesbury Arts centre, Where Buzzards Fly as high as Kites'. Wales Contemporary 2020. Visual Arts.
